Help!!!

I just put a $500.00 Bid on this trailer and now i'm afraid it won't fit. I have an 89 Mastercraft Prostar 190 and the trailer is falling apart! Does any know if it will fit or if there is a way to make it fit? I am going to call Jim @ BAWS tomorrow and ask him!

Click here: eBay Motors: 2001 mastercraft 190 prostar trailer (item 4574924495 end time Sep-18-05 10:57:41 PDT)

Q: will this be a perfect match for a 1995 prostar 190?

A: MASTERCRAFT changed the hull style, but I am not sure what year. I have a 92 190 prostar and a dealer sold me this trailer sight unseen because he said it would fit my boat. It didn,t and had to buy another trailer, This newer model has 4 bunks for newer hulls, my older boat has 2 bunks. And thats the difference. If you have the trailer, you can check the number of bunks. Thanks

for $500 you really cant go wrong, even if it doesnt fit, which i think it will, you could sell it for a lot more than $500.

First of all your $500 bid is below the reserve price, so even though you are the high bidder you are not going to win the auction.

Now, if you up your bid and eventually do win the trailer, I'm sure you could haul it in to the auto shop or even see Mr Jim at BAWS and get some Bubbas with a plasma torch to fix the bunk arrangement to mate to your hull.

I assume in Sarasota, you are using your boat in salt water quite regularly. If this is the case, I wouldn't buy the Mastercraft trailer. Although the trailers look great and last forever if used only infresh water, they won't hold up in salt water as they are a tubed steel design which dosen't allow the water to drain. This will cause the trailer to rust from the inside out.
2 cents worth of free advice...if you put your boat in salt regularly, buy a used aluminum trailer with nice big bunks and call it a day. The trailer will never rust and can be easily be modified to accomodate your boat. I have seen used aluminum trailers advertised here in Fl for $400-$800 dollars.

I believe it will fit, no problem. At one time I considered getting a newer class for my 87' and looked into what would fit.

I agree, with Tom. Don't do it if your going salt.

Wow, Loxahatchee, Fla (near West Palm Bch). That's where my father in law lives.
