Our Wisconsin winters are equally depressing. I check the lakes every day, to see whether or not you can still walk across them. I can hardly wait until the time when I can pull the "new" X-10 out of storage. I bought it in early October 2012 and only had it on the lake twice last year. I'm really anxious to get to know it better in 2013.
January is always a depressing month - - - both the boat and the motorcycle sit quietly, Battery Tenders in place . . . |

years ago I sent a letter to local game and fish commission asking if I could "trim" some of the trees
while the lake was at low level..... according to their letter, it wasn't a good idea for me to do such a thing. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Stumps like those, hmmm, safety hazard...or maybe a fire hazard?
. Grab yourself a chainsaw on a Sunday mornin' and go to town. Then, you have firewood to "keep your family" warm! I'd be on that in a second.....What's the worse thing that could happen? A fine? |

What value could those trees possibly hold? Maybe for fish habitat? I'd wanna cut them down when the water was low too....

![]() Arkansas Game & Fish Commission didn't give 2 cents about my prop, even though I explained nicely that cutting them 2 or 3 feet lower would prevent fallen skier injury or prop damage. I switched email accounts since then, but I remember a holier than thou attitude ![]()
