WI State Ski Show Tourney

Anyone going this weekend? We're headed down today, looking forward to what is some of the best show skiing in the world. Aqua-Jays, Mad City, and Badgerland ski back to back today. I'll try to get some good pics to post!

We got to see 3 1/2 shows, some great skiing. Here are a few pics, and link to a youtube video with a cool barefoot trick:

Gotta love those triple rigs!!!

Got several buddies who ski for the Webfooters out of Freemont WI and also a few that ski for the Waterboard warriors.

I had the opportunity to foot behind that triple rig a few weeks ago for the Aqua Jays 50th year reunion show. All I can say is that it was incredible! It was the fastest ride I've had in a long time. My guess is that we were doing 48mph when 14 people were footing. They have outriggers that extend out around 8 feet to spread the lines. It helps so everyone doesn't get pulled to the center. Truly awesome rig!

Right across the river from my nephew's house. Huge weekend in Tomahawk. Not an available room in town. Wish I could make it, but too much going on.

Another great state tourney last weekend! Way to go Rock Aqua Jays on winning. The best thing I was was the barefoot suicide pyramid... 2 barefoot pyramids with 2 guys as base and 1 girl on top... while crossing the show course the girls jumps off their shoulders, lands between them and continues to barefoot away. Lots of great pics here:
