HO Freeride

Has anyone tried the HO Freeride? I'm going to get a new ski this spring and I've decided that I want a bit of an easier ski than my old CDX, but I'm wondering if that's too far in the other direction?

Are you thinking of the new free ride or the previous version?

I had 2009 version and liked it. Used it to ski behind my parent I/O. It is a good all around ski but not a course ski. Moved up to a Coefficient X when we bought our first MasterCraft as I wanted to really improve my skiing.

I'm a new skier and this is what I use (2013 w/Animal bindings). I was skiing on the slalom side of a Connelly combo set so I really don't have a lot to compare it to. That said, it was a huge upgrade in terms of control--responds to every bit of input and i'm much more confident. I did have a friend ski it (hardcore veteran--barefooot, slaloma and trick skier) and he said he enjoyed the ride a lot. There are some 2013 blanks on ski it again at big discounts.

I have not had a try. But it sounds great! Maybe I will try it one day.
