Re-threading Tower Speakers

The adjustment rings on my tower speakers (the metal ring that the speaker is actually attached to which is then attached to the housing) had some of the scores stuck in them. One of them had two seizes screws and the other had one. They were really stuck in there and I had to drill them out. However, I now have no threads and a much bigger hole.

Any idea on what to do? Can I fill it with jb weld and then use a self tapping screw? It doesn't need to handle a lot of torque as I have it now without the screws and its fine.

If you can go up in screw size you could tap it and go that route. Or you could drill it out and put a threaded insert in to the original screw size.
