1995 engine cover decal

I figured out how to recreate the decal on the plastic cover. Let me know if anyone wants a pair. It will be month before they are ready. they'll be $20 each. I'll post a picture when I am done. The challenge was to recreate the speckled metal finish inside the letters and the etched arrow...price covers just my cost...it's going to be 3 layer including a laminate. The original was made in a silk screen process.

Measure it lenth and height...but it looks the same... I need to do a little experimentation to make sure the solution works.

Mikeg205 - I don't have a decal on my cover, when I bought the boat the stickers / decals were missing. I have been comparing the two photos of the decals and they look to be the same.

Wouldn't you agree?

Edit the space where it would go.. so when I figure out how to make it correctly I can re-size it. I have the are 90% there.... I am concerned about temps - just need to find the right materials...but I will have it in the next month or so... I will post when they are ready...

Did you look at my picture? It looks like it has stripes in the back ground going horizontal. Very light gray.

Yes... I still need to add that... the lines are no big deal also I want to find the right base material - I'm looking to track the right chrome type film that will accept eco-solvent ink. I can then cut out the letter and back them with a later of textured vinyl which will mimmic the effect.

the letters have a texture which I am trying to match. I have materials and can recreate with vinyl and a laminate. I am concerned with the temps that will be surrounding the decal as well as the fumes. Hydrocarbon fumes are hell on adhesive..

The new graphics MC uses is all digital ink on vinyl. If you go to a boat show or a dealer you will see a sliver of white between the graphic and the hull. I am trying mimic mylar. I just need to find the media...I know it's out there...just need to find it. This is a hobby so I don't have all in the info at my finger tips... But I will get it.
