Call Mike at international barefoot. The W207 supposedly fits ZFT-4.

Has anyone actually put a tower boom on a ZFT-4?
I plan to order one in June, once my new X10 arrives. |

Interest here as well including ease of install and use.

I talked to Mike at BI today and he said the W207 would fit. I plan to order it tomorrow and I'll update once I get it installed.

Please update, I called them and got a very brief explanation but wasn't at all convinced I could/would install this. Seeing one installed and having a first hand report would mean a lot to me, we'd like to have it installed if we're going to do it by early July for teaching at camp this year.

I ordered mine today ... hope it really fits.
Every BI product I have ever bought ( a tower, boom, ropes, handles and fat sacks) has been first rate. While I forgot to ask about a return policy, I did talk to Mike Seipel and he spoke to the differences between the 2012 ZFT-4 and the 2013 ZFT-4. He also told me to call him personally when I did the install so I can be sure to get it setup properly. |

Ok the boom has been installed. It is seriously canted forward compared to what I am used to. It has to be that way to clear the shock on the side.
I talked to Mike at BI and he said it will work fine. Unfortunately I am not going to be able to do the final adjustments and test it on the water for a week or two due to other commitments. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I would not even think about mounting that apparatus on my boat with a zf4 tower, wrong in so many ways

Well the X10 is supposed to be an 'All Purpose' boat. It is not like I leave the boom on all the time.
I can't wait to try out the 6.0 and see how it performs. |
