92-94 Prostar 205/190 Gelcoat names
Hi guys,
Looking for some help. I am in the process of restoring my boat, in this thread: http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/...ad.php?t=50251 I have run into a snag thou, I planned to use spectrum color gelcoat to patch up the spots that need it. Unfortunately when I spoke with Mastercraft and gave them my Hull # there weren't able to give me much info on the gelcoat that was used. I have figured out one colour is "Flagship Blue", unfortunately I can't figure out what the white color is. I ordered the "Glacier White" hoping that it would be right when I ordered the blue from Spectrum. It isn't it is alot brighter. So does anyone know what color the white on these classic boats is called? I see alot of them out there so I hope that someone might have gone through this already. |

What is the colour pattern on your 95? I didn't think they made the flagship blue and magenta past 94?

What year is your boat? If it's a 94, it could be oyster white. Here's the list of all the gelcoat colors from another thread back in 2004

It's a 1992.
I found that list before as well, thanks, That is why I took the chance on the Glacier White. |

My boat is glacier white. I patched some gel over the winter and the new gel is a little whiter than the old stuff. You have to be looking to see it, but I can tell. Maybe it yellows a little over time.

My 91 was Glacier White. I used the Spectrum patch paste.

This is how the Glacier looks against my current gelcoat. I have also sanded the gel down so I am sure it is pretty close to original colour

Dang. I was reading you build/project thread. Seems like a huge pain. I have a jet ski that needed gel coat finish and it took a lot of work to help fill in a gauge. I woke take it to a body shop/paint place. They may be able to help you... At least for me they did

I have a dawn grey 93 that I thought was white at first. Ordered the glacier white, and it contrasted a lot like your picture. You may have the same gelcoat. Does it look as grey in contrast to the glacier white as the picture suggests?
