Jim should I be looking for an autopainter that does boats or a boat painter is there any steps I should request in how it is painted?

If it where me..strip the paint...wetsand and buff it out...Personal opinion

Paint for sure! I agree with Jim@BAWS -- get rid of the paint and get back to gel coat.....
