Jim should I be looking for an autopainter that does boats or a boat painter is there any steps I should request in how it is painted?

If it where me..strip the paint...wetsand and buff it out...Personal opinion

Paint for sure! I agree with Jim@BAWS -- get rid of the paint and get back to gel coat.....

If you do, it will loook better than the paint, and be much more durable.

depends on what (if anything) the paint is hiding.....

Hopefully the PO just wanted a black boat, instead of a blue boat
