Starting to Get the Little Seat Rips
![]() As of last season I started to notice that I am beginning to get the little rips at the stitching in the high traffic areas of my boat interior (observers seat, trunk lids, etc). I took a look at everything this weekend and they seem to be increasing in numbers. I have a 2004 Mastercraft X-7 and I heard that there may have been an issue the the interiors in these years. My question is there anything I can do/apply to the little rips to stop them from spreading or getting worse? Thanks in advance!!!!

I just purchased some 3m vinyl repair from Home Depot. I plan n trying it out tomorrow on some small cuts in my seats. Ill let ya know how it goes. I had a thread in here about small cuts that some people made suggestions in. Try a search for it.

Here is a quick picture of the worst area where people step on when they come into the boat from the platform

I had the same issue in the same spot on my 197. I tried some 3M stuff, didn't do much. Ended having to have the pads recovered. Wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be.

BHM got my Trunk Lids redone just before I bought the boat. They look perfect.

I have that problem on my '98 Prostar190 just on the observers seat. Looks like the stitches are stretching a bit. Let me know how you make out. It's only on the seat, not the back.
