Lake Austin
Anyone been out on Lake Austin recently? Last I heard the Hydrillia was pretty heavy from Emma Long/City Park upstream to Mansfield Dam.
Planning to go out tomorrow afternoon and trying to decide between Lake Austin and Lake Georgetown. |

I'm thinking Lake Austin is your only option. Last I checked G-town was like 12-14 ft low....
May be out on Austin myself tomorrow. |

My parents live on lake Austin. My step dad said the hydrilla is still pretty thick upstream of Emma Long Park.

Didn't make it out yesterday (Battery trouble). Put in new battery this morning and headed out to Lake Austin. Only picked up a little hydrilla going about a mile past Emma Long, much better conditions than my 4th of July trip.
Saw a gorgeous 1956 Mercury Wooden Inboard Speed Boat when we launched at Walsh Landing. Last edited by orbeamlb; 11-04-2012 at 10:18 PM. |

Austin is pretty bad about a mile past Emma Long, when we were doing sets past there, everytime we stopped we had to clean the prop.

I'll keep that in mind. Weather permitting we plan on going back there Saturday.
