If you come into a turn to quickly or abruptly, you'll get slack in the line and there will be a pause in your momentum until the boat pulls the slack out. I always think of that as the boat hitting you."

I shot mxhideout a PM. I also have a 67" prototype Monza I'd be willing to part with for somewhat less than I'm asking for my MPD. My wife has been riding it occasionally for the last couple of years. But if someone wants the Monza, I might keep the MPD for her.

$299 delivered to the lower 48. Any less and I'll drop another 10 lbs and keep it. Still time to get it by Christmas.

I came off a 2005 Monza and a 2004 Sixam to this ski. It doesn't give you that same feeling of blistering speed that the Monza (or the Sixam) give you. Nonetheless, you find yourself plenty wide. That's not to say it isn't fast. It is. It just doesn't feel fast. Its real benefit in my experience is the fluidity of the turns. As I mentioned above, the turns just felt like a perfect turn with no abrupt hookups with the boat at the end of the turns like I felt with the Monza. It has always struck me as a smooth ski.
