Most inexpensive spare tire option 2007 Single axle trailer

Our 07 X1 will be coming home for storage for the first time ever. The trip is roughly 90 miles from the lake to home. Our trailer has probably 30 miles on it since it really never went out a 5 mile trip from our house to the ramp. I think for the trip home though it would be great to have a spare tire. I just want a very basic rim with a good tire. It's a single axle so its the 6 bolt but I don't know any of the other measurements such as centerbore, offset, etc. if someone could help me figure those measurements out, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!

On my tandem axle trailer, I purchased a 14" 5 on 4-1/2, white steal modulal wheel from Tractor Supply (don't laugh, we have them in Texas and they are a great source for trailer parts) for $38, and used the best of my old Goodyear marathons as the spare. Mounted it on the trailer and covered it with a black vinyl cover. Worked great. Total investment less than $60 including cover and labor to mount and ballance.

On your single axle trialer, I think you need a 15" wheel with a 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern.

I bought a matching wheel for my 2003 trailer on ebay for $85 and had a bought a used tire w/ mounting and balance for $30 or so. I'm sure you could get just a basic steel rim for pretty cheap.

What I'm really looking for is something that I can piece together. I know my wheels are 6 x 5.5 but I need to know the width, offset and centerbore to do this right. Basically what my idea is, take a wheel from a car that has a 6 x 5.5 offset and put a trailer tire on it. I honestly don't want to spend more than $100 since we don't trailer. Like I said this is the first time the boat will be on the trailer behind the truck for more than 5 minutes. It is more of a safety precaution then a necessity.

Then do what I posted. By a new painted steel wheel, 15" x 6" or 15" x 7", 6-5.5 bolt pattern, for $40-$60 and put a used tire on it. I spent a total of $60 and that was with a spare tire cover and mounted to the trailer. If it is just for a spare, the wheel width doesn't matter as long as it's close. I did test fit the new wheel to make sure it fit over the hub, before I had the tire mounted, but it fit fine, and with plenty of clearence.

That is what I'm gonna do. I did some ebaying and found good prices on those steel wheels. They're actually hard to find! 15x6 with a 6x5.5 pattern must be a rare size. Out of curiosity, does it say on the wheel what the center bore is? I don't have the trailer in front of me but my dad is going to go up to the cabin and measure it tomorrow.

Is your wheel for sale a chrome rim or the black steel rim?
