The XStar is mine my buddy was helping with the lift has a G23. I am just glad I finally got her on the water and on the lift.

We do both board and surf. I will be adding the Gen 2 to my Star soon. It's a 2013 so its a tad more work.

I had a G switched to star with gen 2 this year. We live on lake so massive storage not a requirement that the G has. The interior feel and comfort in the star much better. It is a small feeling boat inside which I like. We have rear facing seat laid down all the time with the rear playpen section installed. Our kids and friends love that feature. Surfing the star required adding 800 lbs extra pounds of lead. That really transformed it to having huge wave that is significantly longer than the Gs. Wakeboard wake is great with the added wt as well.

I have the only star on this lake with about 12 Gs. The Star is much more the looker especially in certain color combinations.

I like the dash on the star much better bc with multiple screens can do multiple functions at the same time. Example: adjustion speed/wake at same time as stereo

Lastly I like having redundant switched for ballast lights etc. I had my G screen freeze at least 3 time where it went black with full ballast. In the G u had to hope that turning the boat off and rebooting did the trick or ur stuck with full tanks and no lights.

Both are awesome. Can't go wrong I think nautique will change dash and interior for 2016. Hit me up if I can help

My wife was really disappointed with stock wave on star until additional ballast. Now no complaints and all smiles
