[quote=DeeeJay02;884859] What they do is send you a Fabricated Paypal look a like email stating the payment is perocessing and try to pick up the merchandise before you become wise of the phony transaction. QUOTE]

So these are local scammers?
I mean no way Achmed can come pick up your boat from you. Too long of a trip and I don't think Camels are rated to tow that much!
*** is up with locals (on our continent) doing this?
Can't they just come steal it like any self-respecting theif?
Would be much simpler. He!!, it wouldn't take 2 min to make off with my boat from the house if someone wanted it.

Oh yeah, great fun to mess with scammers. Especially if they have a decent command of the English language so you can get them to engage a little.

Try finding one that's a for sale add and tag team them 2 or 3 people at the same time. Me and my buddy got one "woman" (judging only by the email name) on the hook for a week or more. We kept, separately, emailing her and she was upping the price because we were in a bidding war with each other!
It always ends in giving them your email like youreadumbcumt@fvckofff.com!

I still find this way to funny, of course I have only communicated with them initially from the first email asking if the boat was still for sale via the craigslist system. Do they really think they would be able to have Mohamed pick up the boat without cash in hand??? Just don't get it Or are they looking to just steal my cash via PayPal???

Anyone got any rough pictures of an X2, would love to send them and see if they are still interested.
What year? you could use the pictures of my 02 x star that sunk if it is a 205v hull. See...

I just emailed the "Oceanographer" that I would trade for Deep Sea Pirates Treasure. Also, just got another one line email asking the condition, ad states Excellent. Emailed back and asked, what exactly do you mean by condition, it floats, most of the time

i always send a message back about how I hate Paypal and their fees and would be happy to release to boat to the shipper you send. Just have him bring cash and I will help him load it.

When you read these you can quickly tell by the wording that google translator was used to convert to English. I use it to send emails to a cutomer in Germany and he laughs at the way English is translated to German and the resulting way the sentences are worded.

There was a whole podcast about people who scammed the scammer. They got one guy to travel to Somolia to pick up money from a priest at a church, he ended up getting stuck there, shot at etc... it was awesome.

Question

Here's a new spin on the scammers - watch the hidden text appear when I highlight the contents....

Discovered this by accident, but wonder why it is done...?

Not highlighted:

This highlighted version shows text that was not visible because the font was white:
