Anyone know anything about a new X-45?

Brand New X-45 Mastercraft heading to Havasu..

Pretty sure it's the only one on the West Coast, retooled from the ground up and from what I hear it is pretty bad ***.. Supposed to go take some pics of it in a few hours when it arrives. 150,000 dollar wake boat.

I have been in close contact with the dealer as of late, and I haven't been told of any changes to the 45. I also know that all of the MC corporate heads were at MMS a couple of weeks ago. I hope that if there was talk of change, my dealer would've let me know by now.


Perhaps they are refering to the new Star, as someone else usggested in the thread?

No more X-45 after 2013. That's from muiltiple sources, but I sure hope they are wrong.

One of the best selling boats ever in the MC line and it will be discontinued. Only rumor right now is a redesign maybe in 2015 as a X-46 with more of a 55 or 35 layout. I sure hope not because one of the best features of the 45 is the current layout and seating. That's why I have one and not a 35 or 55.

The other reason is the boat will be 9 years old, time to send the hull out to pasture but I also believe the California lawsuit has played a big part in the decision.

Brutal. Like you touched on, the 45 has the best interior layout of any boat in the MC lineup. If the rumor is true, it will be missed.

They are the worlds biggest MC dealer. I guess they could've been there for lots of reasons.

The lowdown I have heard recently is:
2013 will be the last model year for the current hull. July 2014 you will be seeing a new retooled X45 thats simular to the X-Star and other new hulls.

The X55 will be unchanged for a few more years as they invested alot of time and money into the current hull.

That would be great news and along the same lines as I heard. But I was also under the impression they were considering not bringing back the model which would be horrible. A new hull design is necessary because as we all know the current hull is defective because it has holes in the bow and it can sink.

I'd love them to take the X25 as it with the pickle fork, add about 18", the rear facing seat option, and another 1200 lbs of factory ballast. I'd buy it right meow!
