When you have to sit and watch (and drive) since March of this year due to neck surgery, and truly realize how much skiing means to you. Sorry, it's been a long year.

When you are going to drive 3 hours round trip tomorrow to get in an hour of skiing before the cold hits later this week, you might be a ski-a-holic

I'm not a ski-a-holic anymore.

I have skied 1 time since 7-18-12 and am thinking about winterizing.

Frankly I may have skied less than 15 sets all year. If I were to guess, I went to ski 12 outings, we had an 8 week ski league at our club that I coached this year on Wednesday nights and several nights I only coached and did not ski, I skied 2 other times at our club, and I skied 2 other times at a different club, so 12 total outings would be a real close guess. In 2010 and 2011, I never opened my ski bag up to even look at my ski. So ZERO sets were skied those 2 years. More than likely after this season I will be hanging up the ski again.

PB this year was 2.5@-38 and its like I could not care less if I skied again this year.

Now I used to be a ski-a-holic back when I skied 73 days in a row and skied 2-3 sets a day and probably more than 250 sets per year.

If you take a shower in the boat (with shampoo and soap) because you can't run home before work, you might be a ski-a-holic

If you get to the cottage and ski before unpacking the car because you have less than an hour of daylight left!

I have done both of those!

Also have I have sat out in the river at 6:30 am waiting for the fog to lift to get the first ski in.

Definitely a must - you cant see floating logs in the river + fog!

========

here's one i am also guilty of:

If you have pre-arranged skiing with strangers and skied on private and public lakes all over the USA while on business trips, you might be a ski-a-holic...

If while traveling, the first thing you do after booking your flight is look for the closest skiable body of water.
