05 tower disassembly -- how?
I have a new-to-me 05 X2 and will need to break down the tower for storage. What's the proper sequence? Does the bimini need to come off first? Seems pretty straightforward but I don't want things crashing down on my windshield or hull.
Here's a pic of the tower for reference:

Remove bimini, remove 4 knobs, pull spring loaded knob to separate front tower legs from back. Back tower legs fold to the sunpad, Front tower legs fold towards the bow.

I take it that it's a two-person job?

OK. So I tried by hand to turn and to pull all of them. Nothing moved. Which of the 6 should do what? I don't want to strip any threads.

You won't strip any threads taking them off. You can only mess them up putting them back on and cross threading. Try harder. Use a towel for leverage. If that doesn't work, use a towel and channel locks. You can use channel locks without a towel, but you will create sharp edges in the knobs that will cut your hands in the future...
Oh yeah, don't forget to unplug the tower speakers. If you separate the tower without unplugging the speakers you can rip the wires out of the plug(s).

Don't touch the tower knobs close to the rear tower mounts. Those should always be tight. Unscrew the other 4. Grab the small spring loaded knob near the top of the tower while standing on the sunpad. At the same time, pull back on the tower. You are trying to separate the rear tower legs from the front. Might have to use some force.

You do not want to remove knob 3 on both sides.
Remove all 4 of the knob 1s, disconnect the speaker wire, remove top. Pull up on knob 2 and lower the back half and then fold down the front two legs. If the knobs have not been removed in a while they may have some corrosion on the threads. Spray some lube in them. They turn left to remove.

I have the same tower with Bimini on my (piclefork) X2. My front legs will fold forward with thi Bimini attached. I put towels under the legs when folded to keep them from damaging/chipping the gel on the bow.
