Ok - I am liking August 10th for the Southwest Chicago First MC hook up - save the date

Now all we need is a name... The River Rat Run? League of Illinois River Rats?

Meet at the beach just down river from the Morris - Stratton State Park. Just south about a mile down river is a beach... we can meet there...

As you head down river you'll see a line of campsites on your starboard side - then an island... stay in the channel for about another mile and the beach will be on the port side. There's usually boats there.

I will post a mile marker of the island as we get closer and if we can set on a date.

Hope the weather will be great that day.

I am going to do my best to make that. Trip to the old stomping grounds would be great. Should be all healed and ready to ride

I can go - but with some caveats. I am on call that day. The location is close enough to wrangle it - but probably not close enough if I haul the boat.

If its near a dock where someone could drop me @ my car so I could haul my cell phone along - then I can attend.

You got one buddy. I have a few tow vehicles. You can use one of mine.

Thank you! Hopefully I will have a new one by then, but I will definitely take you up on the offer if it doesn't show up by then. I should be out next Sunday with a borrowed truck if anyone will be around, looking forward to meeting the crew.

Whats the necessary gear if we tie up? Bumpers/hippity hops for sure, but an anchor as well? I don't want to be the guy screwing stuff up, and growing up boating we never rafted up. Still in the learning phase with my own boat for some of this stuff.

Thanks!
