MCX Thermostat

Has anyone replaced their thermostat?
I removed the air cleaner and have a 14mm shallow socket but theres no room for a ratchet between the bolt and throttle body/opening
I put a swivel on it and the throttle body is still in the way, I dont have enough leverage to break the bolt free
I tried to remove the throttle body but the gasket is stuck on both surfaces, I really dont want to purchase and go through the hassle of replacing the gasket
Suggestions?

I think I used a 'wobble' extension on my MCX thermostat, similar to this:

And, I think once you pull the housing, the gasket is pretty much shot. Good news is that they are $2-3 at auto zone. I might have a spare around here - PM me if you want the part number.

I did. Ordered gaskets and removed the throttle too.

What I always do is: before installing, adding a little layer of silicon kit on both sides of the gasket. So, next time the gaskets don't die.

I was able to get a wrench on them and 1/4 at a time get it off without removing anything else.
