We just had the upgrade to our tower. Took a long time (another story) but it was great to go out boating today and have a working tower. I took a few pics if anyone is interested.

Can you tell me if it is a factory update, from a 2012 boat? I read on the forum that all 2012 with PowerTower get the update. But our dealer did not get any response yet out from Mastercraft

This was on our 2011 X55 - purchased in Feb. 2011. The tower was stuck in the down position until they did the upgrade. It was a factory upgrade. You can see the new "black box" that was installed by our battery switch. One picture shows the hydraulic pump inside it.

Took my X45 in today to have the upgrade on my power tower. I was fortunate not to have any issues like some have had so I waited until the end of the season to have the upgrade done. I will post pictures when it is completed. The only down side is that I will have to wait until next year to play with it on the water.

Congrats on the hydraulic upgrade. You will love it. I had tower issues for 2 months before it was finally fixed. It sounds like yours took at least that long. You are a patient man. Enjoy!

Well, I got my boat back and was able to work the tower on the trailer. The boat is winterized and I will have to wait until next spring to see how it works on the water. It does go up a little bit higher. It is also nice not having to put those stabilizer bars on when trailering.
