Thanks all! I'm gonna get through it. Been very discouraging to go from running a marathon in April to struggling on a 5k. Knew something was bad wrong. Gonna get fixed and move on. Bad when you are sitting at home watching football and your pulse is stuck at 32!

Take solace in the fact that Alabama football will only get your heart pumping in a good way this year, unlike the poor Auburn fans. We are praying for you and a speedy recovery. Roll Tide

You will be back my friend.

37 is young but let me tell you about one of my best friends. He has always had this condition when his heart rate gets too high weather he is competing in sports being aggressive, real scared, excited, etc he will pass out due to the heart overloading and then stopping.

My friend has had this condition since he was about 8 years old or so. I met him in kindergarten and we were best friends until college. He went to college and got married right after. While at college he dated this girl from his church and we really quit hanging out after that because she does not like me.

Anyway he has had 3 pacemakers and I know now he now has a defibrillator and has had a few installed or replaced. He is 31 about to be 32 now and has had a pacemaker since he was in 3rd grade so about 8 years old. I guess the batteries go out or technology needs to be updated. All I know is he has had many operations installing and replacing pacemakers and defibs. I guess my point is after he has had the pacemaker he was a normal kid. We played on the same hockey team, played football, he played baseball and was real good, he plays golf all of the time and is in the low 70's, he has skied, and basically is a normal dude. If he was pointed out in a crowd to someone, they would not believe his condition.

Keep your head up. Don't jump off the deep end and sell your boat. You WILL be back. More than likely next summer. Keep your head up and as always you will be in all of our thoughts and prayers.

Prayers sent up, good luck with the surgery and recovery.
Being on the water is best, but when I'm not on the water I'm on TT.
