interior price???

hey everyone,
i have an 86 tristar. it needs interior.
im wondering what a good price would be? i got one quote from one guy for 3500 bucks!
seems a bit high to me!!!

$3500 is par for the course, you could save some cash by having a shop make the covers and installing the covers yourself... Do a search here there is several threads about different companies. http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/...archid=4840267

thanks for the link, and yeah i thought 3500 was outrageous!!!!

i mean for my whole interior i dont mind paying fair price but im not willing to get raped on pricing by some a-hole.
that 3500 price was with me removing ALL interior and TAKING it to him for him to do.

id call viper customs and get a quote 865-388-4096 i think 3500 seems a little steep

$3500 sounds a bit high to me also. You have an '86 tri-star?

I had a complete interior done a 4 years back (seats and carpet and some replacement foam) for $2700. I beat the guy up pretty good to get that deal and we were dead in the middle of the recession, so i was in the driver seat on that deal. $3500 for a whole boat sounds about right, but not if you are doing a lot of the labor...

Is it an open bow Tristar? If so, that's a decent price if you're in CA compared to some interior shopping I did for a boat in CA in '07. Viper should beat that and do great work (did my '93 for less than $3k). Freight factor may kill any $ advantage.

For comparison, I had quotes in Cincinnati that ranged from $3600-6100. Most were above $4k - crazy.

Viper Customs did a 93 190 for me just this past week. Skins, carpet, carbon fiber engine cover drinkholder with SS inserts two new vents for the engine cover (covered up the other vent opening), and a gelcoat touchup in a small spot. $2500.
