johnson mayfair pumps

Ok i feel a little stupid. how do you get out the cartridge. is it stick a screw driver and hit the tab or something else. i could figure it out on my own. but iim upside down and backwards trying to deal with it. can you give me an explanation, i know im gonna feel stupid when some one explains it to me. thanks guys

There should be a black tab on the side of the cartridge, towards the top, that locks the motor in place. It has a screw in it but there should be no need to loosen that screw just push the tab up or down after you pull it out a bit and move it out of the locking position hole...... then screw the cartridge by the top wing/tabs and pull up. It takes about a 1/4 turn to break it free.
