5 blade Props

has anybody ran one and what was better? they claim this new OJ TZ 5 blade has better out of speed for heavy boats and better speed holding. I run the acme 1285 on a 07 x-star and like it alot still have the stocker as a spare. nobody talks about these 5 blade prop actually I've never even seen one in person just online real world use and feedback from everyone would be awesome

The 5 blade hype seems to have faded. I don't think they are all they were originally made out to be. I have no idea if it will fit, but from what I've heard, the acme 2315 is the prop to have when you're running big weight. It's a 15x12 prop. I haven't heard of anyone running one on a mastercraft. At the last tournament I went to one of the malibu vps had one on his mxz and the nautique rep had one on his g23. You will probably lose a lot on the top end, but it should pull out of the hole like none other.

i kind of figured it was all hype and wore off pretty fast if it was that good wouldn't the oem be putting them on boats already. thanks for the 2315 info that might be my next prop then

Got the 5 blade to start this year and preforms better than the stock prop 05 x-30 MCX. I'm at 6000 ft and the boat would struggle when loaded with ballast with the old prop. Pulls much better now, very happy with the change.
