2009 X Star Rear Ballast Bags
Can anyone confirm if the Fly High 750# fat sacs will fit in the rear lockers of a 09 star? Im aware there are 720# bags maded for the Xstar, but they are quite a bit more expensive. The Fat Sacs are 50" long where the Xstar bags are 42". Will 50" fit without putting pressure on anything?
The reason I changed my mind about doing the full PWT plummed in ballast is: Cheaper Simpler - no worring about plugged intakes and cooked impellors - can keep a packup pump on hand. Able to move bags around if needed. Faster filling

OK.. no replies yet.
Does anyone have a photo of either a #750 fat sac or #1100 jumbo sac in the bow walkthrough on the floor. I want to see how either fits. Also I see people recommending #1100 jumbos for the rear, anyone have photos of this too?

Ive been talking to spensor, they say all will work but ultimately its up to me to decide which configuration. I was hoping to see some pics as examples so I can see how they fit.

As for the front, I use a 750# in the walkway that fills from the overflow hose off the KGB. It fits fine, I little on the chubby side but no problems with it. So that's 1250# front. 1250+1440=2690 lbs. I have an MCX so that's about all the engine will handle with my 14.25 X 14.5 OJ prop. Looking forward to a nicer wake this season! ![]()

If you buy the pwt bags separate from the kit and manually fill them the cost savings is significant.

I already had this 750 sac so that's why I still use it. Not sure it there is a better choice for the X-star walkway. I didn't want the 2 under-seat sacs up front because I keep too much stuff under there (surfboard, vests, etc.) It works for me.
