X45 Walkthrough Filler Cushion
My 45 didn't come with a rear sun deck walkthrough cushion. I'm thinking of having one made. Those who have one- do you use it much? Is it a hard or soft backing? Does it secure, or does it just lay in the walkway?
Thanks |

My custom one for my X30 is not hard backed and just lays on top. Obviously this has its issues, but it is as comfortable as the rest of the deck.

It snaps in with the same kind of snaps for your carpet. It should snap to the center hatch that covers the engine.

If you have one made, it would be pretty cool to use rare earth magnets by installing a set on the inside of the engine cover and in the pad.

Anyone have picks of their cushion? I have my sun deck pieces recovered and I have extra fabric that I could use for the filler.

Hmmmm.....this has me thinking. I really didn't want to put a snap on it, but this idea is pretty ingenious.

The magnets sound like a good idea but how well do they hold in place if someone happened to lose their balance and their foot was putting extra pressure on it? I'd hate to see it slide and make someone fall. Im talkin if you forgot to remove it or someone didnt know to not walk on it. I'd take a picture of mine for you but I left the boat at the lake till next weekend.
