I have had my boat listed for sale for a few months now, and I get a call a week or so, but haven't been super-anxious to sell it. I am now a little more motivated, but I'll warn that I'm not interested in lowball offers. I think I am asking a very fair price, and I don't know of any for sale that are any cheaper (comparable year, equipment, hours, condition, etc).
I am also more willing to travel further distances to assist with delivery as part of a deal (I'll be looking to recoup some of my travel expenses, of course). This is a really nice boat, and someone can save thousands over a new one. I have sold 4 boats in the last 6 years, and every transaction was smooth, and I am still in contact with several of the buyers. They are all happy. Its very important to me that the overall transaction goes well. If I get the sense the buyer is going to be a "problem buyer", I won't do the deal. Twice I have told people that I am no longer interested in selling to them because of how the deal was shaping up. I only point all of this out because I want to assure potential buyers that I am committed to making it a smooth transaction that is a win for all sides. Now, with all of that said, the details of the boat, and pics are here on teamtalk: http://www.tmcowners.com/market/show...p?product=1858 And also more pics and info on my personal website: http://www.kentroad.com Price: $54,500 Here is some info on the boat: 2007 MasterCraft X-15 Like new condition - excellent in and out 85 hours - bought new in May 2007 List price on this boat when new was over $75K The pictures do not do the boat justice - looks very hot in person Colors are black and white Interior is off-white (gray), with silver and black accents, gray carpet V-Drive - cavernous interior; Its hard to believe how roomy this boat is. 21'8" length and 100" beam Factory balast - about 500lbs under floor in back, and about 500 lbs in ski locker Loaded with lots of features and options: MCX 350 HP (5.7L Indmar) - tons of power MasterCraft speed control 3 outlet heater - perfect for those chilly days Depth finder, outside / lake temp gauge Fiberglass swim platform (huge) Tower-mounted mirror arm Bimini (black) Board racks that swivel in, and clamp the boards (no bungees to mess with) Clarion AM/FM/CD Player with JBL amp, 8 speakers sub, aux i-Pod input Dual batteries with shutoff 4 Pull-up cleats Snap-out carpet MasterCraft trailer: Tandem axle 4 wheel disc brakes with backup lockout solenoid Aluminum wheels LED lights (including bright backup lights) Swing-away tongue Boat buddy Fiberglass fenders Just a beautiful trailer that tows extremely well I bought this boat new in the spring, and we have loved it. I typically get a new boat every year, so I am selling this one to order a 2008 X-15. We had several Malibu Wakesetter VLX's before this boat, and we simply love all the room, the wake, and the quality of the MasterCraft, so that's why we're buying another one. Save thousands over a new 07 or 08 - this same boat will cost you well over $65K if you order it from a dealer and negotiate a good deal. Overall Condition: This boat is like new. I've had it since new, and it has been well maintained. Let me go through each part: Mechanical: Excellent. Had its 20 hour service performed by the MasterCraft dealer, and was winterized and had all the fluids changed before I put it away for the winter. Interior: Excellent. No rips, tears, or stains on vinyl or carpet. Exterior: Excellent. No fading, virtually no visible scratches. Has small (less than 1/2" nicks in the white gelcoat in the back where the swim platform mounts (happened the first time we took off the platform and didn't know what we were doing). You probably wouldn't notice them unless it was pointed out to you. Also, swim platform has some scratches on it from wakeboards rubbing on it when getting off the platform. A little compound and wet-sanding would make the platform look much better. I will assist with delivery within 100 miles of western CT. I will definitely deliver up to 500 miles beyond that at a cost of $1.25 per loaded mile. If you live further away than that, I may be willing to travel much further, but we would need to discuss timing and terms first. More pics at http://www.kentroad.com email: jim@kentroad.com or call (860) 516-1171 Thanks!

Great looking boat! Glad to hear you're staying with Mastercraft.
I've found that sometimes it works out to trade in, as you should save alot of sales tax on your next purchase. (At least that's how it works in most states) Seems like by selling it yourself, you'll be paying at least $3,000-4,000 more in sales tax on your new 2008. Will your dealer work with you on a trade? (hope so) Just my $.02 BTW, where do you run your boat in CT? We're in NJ, not far from you.

Thanks!
I generally prefer to sell them on my own rather than trading (the dealers seem to like it that way too). We mostly run in Lillinonah in Brookfield, or else up in Washington at a small lake called Waramaug.

This boat is sold (has been for a while). I got notified that someone posted to this thread about being able to buy one new for $45K, but it appears his post was deleted.

Actually, now I can see the post saying you can buy them new for $45K from WillHavoc. If you can get a new one for that out the door, please let me know where, and I will buy several of them. And if its really $60K and then some buyer's reward program that pays you back $15K in 3 years (if they don't go out of business - ever hear of a ponzi scheme?), that's not the same as buying a new one for $45K. I sold the 07 for my asking price, and sold my 08 for more, so these $45K new deals for X-15's must not be too prevalant.
SuperBee, you'll love the X-15. We just got our 3rd in 3 years about a month ago, and have been thrilled with them all. I pretty much order them equipped the same, except on the 09 I got the wake plate, so we'll see what that does to it. The 09 does seem to have bigger rear factory ballast. Good in that I like more ballast, but bad in that it seems to take up more storage. Best of luck with yours!

As this ad comes up in search results, and I still get some calls on it (2 years later!), I don't have the 07, or the 08 X-15 any more. I do have an 09 MasterCraft X-15 for sale though. Lots of pics and info at http://www.kentroad.com
Thanks!

X15 Question
I am looking at selling my 2007 X15. It has 200 hrs on it, and it's in mint condition. You said you got $54,500 out of your 2007 X15? Would $55 be a solid starting price to sell it?
