Young Rippers
Hey TT,
We at Day1 had the pleasure of hosting Raleigh Hager and Parker Payne for the NWWSA Wakesurf Open here in Seattle a couple of weeks ago. I gotta say, it is pretty inspirational as a dad and a rider to see what is possible in the sport of wakesurfing. My 6-year old son loves watching Parker and my 65-year old mom is dead-set on dropping the line after seeing the "kids" do it. The sport truly is for everyone, here is a little video Raleigh and Parker training, then hitting the comp. Enjoy! If curious, my '06 8.1L x45 is weighted in the following way for the shoot: Port locker: 1100# Rear passenger/cooler: 400# Board locker/amps: 500# Port bow: 300# Port stock tank: full KGB: 1/2 full Wake plate 50% |

Thanks all,
The overhead video was shot with a GoPro hanging off of a Phantom Drone. All credit for the piloting goes to my biz partner Jonathan Matthews. That was just his 1st/2nd time flying over water, 3rd/4th time flying ever. Needless to say, we are very happy the drone didn't end up in the drink ![]() Stay tuned for more! |
