Not sure how it gets it, but if you press "up" and menu at the same time on mine it displays the temp.

If it's 6.5ng (wide guage), it's no longer menu ^ for water temp unfortunately. You have to go into system settings to find it.

press "menu and up arrow", then go to system information, then press "up arrow" and you will see the temperature and hours on the perfect pass.

What about newer boats
It is my understanding that on the newer boats with the digital display in the tachometer, you can not get PP to display the lake temp since it is now sent to the display on the tach. It may depend on the age of the boat on how PP handles the data.

I see this thread is several years old, but I have my original PP manual for the Pro 6.5ng version and it does not say anything about temperature or hours at all. I do not have the boat in front of me, but I am hoping the "Menu and Up" solution will work for me as well. I called PP and they said unless it is a newer boat, it should be enabled as they disable it bc they newer models have another gauge for temp as mentioned above.

Menu and Up did not work for me. Still trying to figure it out. I installed the GPS version on my neighbors boat and his displays the temp all the time, which is nice. Hopefully I can get this issue solved as it would be nice to know what the water temp is.
