Is the CF functional or cosmetic? I could see it toughening the surface to reduced dings, but have seen other applications where it was purely for show.

It stiffens up the board a bit and it makes them more resistant to denting. It looks great and has some functionality too

Got my new ride yesterday Walker Tech series, #5 of 25. Super stoked to get out on it. Just have to wait for the ice to thaw.
