85 S&S Dash Fuses

Hello TT'ers,

I need a HUGE favor. Can someone out there tell me what size fuses they have for their dash fuses? I am worried that the PO but the wrong sizes in and could risk burning something up.

Blower Fuse
Pump Fuse
Auto Fuse
Nav Fuse
Anchor Fuse

Horn fuse
Above Ignition fuse (not sure what this fuse is for until I get under the dash.)

I e-mailed Discount Inboard Marine (skidim.com) a couple of years ago when I needed to replace the fuses on my '86. Also, let them know which engine you have. They responded very quickly with their part numbers and sizes. They were a direct replacement and could not have been easier to install.

I was wondering the same thing. I just replaced all the fuse holders in my boat. They were weathered and some of the fuses inside were corroded to the point that they broke when pulling them out of the holder. I can't read what amp the fuses are. I want to make sure I put the proper amp fuses back in.

I don't have my boat nearby, but I think I went with 10s across the board. Boats been in the water multiple times since then with no problems.

Thanks, I pulled a 30 amp out of the horn fuse. That seemed a little high

I would think ten amp fuses would be sufficient..thirty is a little much..Just my 2 cent

A quick look on Overtons site showed their electric horns rated at 3 amps. 10 amp fuse would be more than sufficient.

I can check tonight, but 30 sounds a might high. I'll try to give them a look when I get home.

Found a 25 in the NAV a 15 in the ANCHOR. The rest are 20's. Seems odd, but I have strong faith in the previous owner. I will check my manual tonight looking for confirmation.
