Put new SeaDek on X2 platform......
Removed old cracking OEM pad. Scaped and sanded adhesive off. Sanded entire platform. Masked off pad area. Srayed edges with PlastiKote bedliner. Its not very rough and looks great. Installed pad. We'll see how it holds up.
With the bedliners texture and thickness, I didnt need to worry about minor sanding marks as it covered them right up. ![]()

Looks good! You bedlinered the swim deck? Too beat up to polish out?

There were a few deep scratches that could not be wet sanded or polished out. I dont think there is gelcoat on it. For sure in the pad area, it was just paint or it is super thin, like about 1/64". Sanded through it very easily. I wanted a new look to the platform and the bedliner did it.

Ya, you should. Took about 4 hours from start to finish. Hardest part was getting the old silicone adhesive off.
Let me know if you want help or tips.

I do like the bedliner idea. You most likely won't ever have to worry about scratches again ![]()
