88 Prostar Tower Addition

Well I just finished adding a tower to my 88 prostar 190 after much debate. I ended up going with the aerial airborne and ordered from onlyinboards.com. They had great package deals and great service. I ordered on a Tuesday and received it on Friday. Had it installed by Saturday afternoon, in time to test it out. I purchased the tower, 1 wake board rack, 1 ski rack, 4 speakers (skylon), 1 mirror, and custom bimni top for $2500.00. I will start with some pictures of before and work my way through. I tried to take a bunch of pictures but didn't take as many as I would have liked.

I love it. Very nice work. Some die hard 190 lovers will cringe. But I wanna do one on my 205. Install looks easy enough. Way to go. Enjoy all the new floor space!!!

Thanks! I know some will cringe, and I toyed with the idea for 8 years before pulling the trigger. I have the BI Fly High pole, and a barefoot boom. So as you can see I had my boom on during the layout stages. I'm not a extreme wakeboarder, but I wanted the speakers, racks, bimni, and more space without shelling out the money for a new boat. I love my 190! And if I ever decide to sell, I think their are plenty of people out there that will not mind the addition.

By the way, if anyone is interested in buying the BI pole and is near Raleigh, NC let me know. I have one that will not be used anymore.

Nice work!

PS - What is the painters tape at the stern? Measuring from rear to back strut attach points?

Yes, I couldn't find a good place to pull measurements from so I removed the back seat and used a 8' level across there to pull from. Just didn't want to scratch it up.

Nice install. The tower follows the lines of the windshield perfectly. That's a really clean '88.

Good looking 88. I had the exact same boat for 22 years( even the same color). I now have a 2010 197TT. The thing about the 88 was you could put a fat sake in it and have a good wake. If I ever want to put a tower on my new boat I will consult you.

When these are in the water they look as good or close to as good as some of the newer stuff. After I put my tower on my 88 I got people telling me how nice my boat was. It's a worthy upgrade. Looks great. Get the front windows tinted. It's cheap and looks cool.
