If MSU's QB hadn't gone down in the first half of the scUM game they would have beat them and I am pretty sure they would have beat the Bucks....but as Duffy used to say, "it is bad luck to be behind at the end of the game"

They play in the best conference in the country and are undefeated. USC has played only one good team all year. They are ranked #1 because their name is USC. And not The University of South Carolina !

The SE Conference is by far the toughest football conference in the NCAA. A very good Auburn team beat a pretty good Georgia team. As much as I am not an Auburn fan I would put them up against USC or Oklahoma.

It is easy to win your non-conferece games when you are playing division II teams out of conference. I think Auburn's strength of schedule was 91st .

I agree with you on the USC thing...................what a crock.

Alex Smith came out of a little town right across the border from my hometown. He got some serious hype back then and had he been taller than 5-8 he may have gone to the Pros. Of course around that same time just north of Eaton was a back name Curtis Enis that got ALL the press.
