Wakesurf Board Recommendations
My wife and I purchased our first boat (2007 X2) in early May this year. We have really started dialing in the ballast setup and speed to get a pretty decent wake for surfing.
Currently, we own the 4'10" Ronix One Skimmer (2012). So far, only the peeps that are 160lbs or less are able to free ride. Those of us that are heavier....225lbs, 200lbs, 180lbs etc....are close to free riding but end up holding onto the rope to least try some tricks. Now we are looking for a second surf board....one that us heavier folks can free ride with. I have read though quite a few posts on this forum looking for some good board recommendations. What are you all using and what would you recommend? Should I look at another skimmer or a regular wakesurf board? Lastly....anything a beginner and advanced rider would like (That should be easy to find )?I appreciate your feedback...always like hearing what you all have to say. Thanks

Congrats on the boat purchase. Check out the Walker Project. Great boards for all rider levels, easily customized. Cost a bit more than the others, but you get what you pay for IMO.

I love my Liquid Force Custom. I'm a newb so my advice isn't worth much but should only set you back $400-500.

I've been looking into the ronix cortez 5'4" for the same reasons. No one had the big one in stock locally last weekend so I didn't get around to trying it out.

The Blue Lake is good and the Sweet Spot Pro is also an easy board to ride and very buoyant. I've go the hook up for Inlands if you want one. I've hooked up several people here on the forums.

Thank you again for all of your feedback. We purchased the Blue Lake and got it out on the water this weekend. Many of us are now free riding and some other first timers are popping right up. Love the board!
