Will the hull accept powerslot trans
Will this hull work for a powerslot transmission conversion? Its a 1989 Prostar with 1:1 trans

Don't get me wrong..powerslots are great, but you will spend a bunch of money on this conversion and you will get moderate gain. You will also get more noise, and use more gas.

You may be able to get close in terms of holeshot with a simple prop change. They are so much more efficient than they used to be.
