It means "Forward". R means "Reverse"

Wow really, my wide guessed that but I thought that being in forward would be a given, it's like an up shift light in a car? Would rather have an air temp gauge than a forward gear indicator.

for real, that's just a little overboard with unnecessary info "F"
how about wet or dry
one thing MC need to install is a Breathalyzer to operate the boat to got along with the wet bar
