America's Home Place - Truth or Dare?

Anyone have actual knowledge or experience with these company? We are considering them to build our next and final retirement home on the lake. Depending on what you ask for, it can be as cheap as $50, or up to $90 a square foot. The model homes look as good as the one we have near the lake and the one we live in full time. We are planning to build next spring.
Any advice or insight would be deeply appreciated. Many thanks,

We are currently looking for a new home. IF we build, we will be using them (still searching, getting ready to get down to the brass tacks, our home has sold and we have to be out by 7-17). We have gone through the whole process, designed the home and seen the models. We have also gone out to the "field" and walked through a couple in various stages of completion. Locally, their subs are good and the homes look fantastic. We really like what we have seen. That is all I can offer right now...
