Backseat...

Had the backseat clips come undone while trailering my 2002 Prostar 190. Needless to say the seat is gone and I'm 300 miles away!! Anyone know of a good place to get a replacement seat?

Check this out....don't know if it would fit, but it is cheap. If not I think you are stuck ordering from Mastercraft.

Clips

Did You Add The Clips To The Backseat? My 02 197 Has Brackets For Some Sort Of Clip But There Is No Clip.

Clips were there... just some plastic clips that use compression to stay attached to the thick rubber tubing. The brackets are just little metal D brackets attached to the seat and the fiberglass area between the backrest and floor.

May be someone will turn it in since it says MC?

Hey, my seats have Mastercraft written all over the underside. So may be someone will turn it in to the local dealer. I'd recommend you contacting the MC dealers along your route and see if you might get lucky! Also watch ebay, the finder might try to sell it and make a quick $.
Someone somewhere has wrecked a MC boat and the insurance company has probably sold it for parts. I'd call MC direct and ask them if they know of anyone that's wrecked one, and try that.
Sorry to hear about it.
Good luck!

Well, there is only 1 dealer, and they are close to me. So Check! I keep looking on ebay... good idea. So do you know the number to call mastercraft? All I see on their website is an address.

another idea
put up a wanted to buy listing in the marketplace on this site
I bet there are plenty of hardcore skiers that don't ever put theirs in the boat and one may make you a deal if it's the right color

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.
