How to Adjust timing

Quick question, on a 81 Ford 351 PCM, which way do I turn the distributor to advance the timing?

Possible, & if distributor has vac advance, hose needs to be off and plugged.
Low idle speed as possible.
If it has electronic mod, timing won't change.
If it has points - they need a spot of lubed on the rubbing block to cam.
Point need to be set before timing is changed.

While at it, lube the advance weights under rotor. A good water proof lube like LPS3 on weight pivots.

Good Luck..
