Engine light wiring - need some help

I've searched this entire site many times and can't seem to find any schematics for the dash wiring in a 1994 Prostar 190 with the LT1 MEFI. My dash engine light comes on when the key is switched to the ignition position and doesn't turn off after the engine is running. I've read all the posts about checking for the ECM codes using the paper clip trick and the light doesn't flash. After opening up the dash and tracing some wires I can see why. The dash engine light is wired to the IGN terminal (purple wire) and ground. This is like hooking it up to a battery. Of course it's not going to turn off or flash. So the question is, what is the signal wire from the ECM that it IS supposed to be connected to? I've circled the two connections it was wired to in the attached photo.

Any ideas? Schematics for these things seem to be as rare as hens teeth.
