Can't remove raw water pump bolts
I'm trying to replace my raw water pump on a 96 maristar w/ LT1. I can't get a lot of leverage back there but when I do the shaft/belts turn instead of the bolt loosening. How can I stop the shaft from turning while I'm loosening the bolts?

Try to wad up a rag and wedge it into the pulley with the belt. It may give you enough tension to hold.

Look for some holes in the balancer or pulley you can put 2 5/16th bolts in there and then use a pry bar to hold the pulley. I do this on my ltr may work on yours
