WTB 2000 or newer wakeboarding v-drive
I am looking for a 2000 or newer wakeboarding v-drive boat on a small budget. I don't mind if it needs work, but I only have $20,000 to work with. I have always dreamt about owning a mastercraft... I sold my crownline 2 years ago and mis having a boat. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

for that budget you will be looking at a 205v, 210 or maybe even a 230. the 210 and 230 are the same hull '98-'05. 205v is the 1st gen star hull which will give the best wakeboard wake for that price. biggest downside is less interior room and harsh rough water ride.

Jaf09... Thanks for your response! The reason for wanting a v-drive is that I have 3 kids (+ some friends) and a wife that likes to anchor and layout on the sun deck. Are these boats v-drives or direct drive?

They are V.
Common misconception regarding v drives always having more room. I find our 2001 X9 direct drive to have much more room and more spacious layout than most smaller v drives. The rear seat sits on top of the armrests to make a full sun pad. We bought ours loaded with all the options and 450 hrs for $20000 3 years ago. We have put a trouble free 300 hours on it since then.

CruisinGA... Thanks for the helpful information. I didn't realize you could do that with a directdrive...

If having room for your wife to lay out is your reasoning for wanting a v-drive, you do not want a v-drive.........

![]() with that said you will be hard pressed finding a vdrive in the $20K area. i have seen a few nicer looking x2's around the 27K area. |

BrianB... The wife isn't the only reason... I thought they were layed out better for space.
Ttu... I knew 20k was low for what I was asking, that is why I said that I'm ok if it needs work. Picks will be uploaded when I get a boat. ![]() I posted on here since I knew people on here know more than I do about layout and space... And I appreciate all the advice! ![]() |

The layout is great! Interior is comfortable. Sundeck is huge!
Driveability is only good for one thing. Thats pulling skiers. If I wasnt obsessed with water sports, I would own an i/o hands down. You can get into shallow water, beach them, maneuver them, trim through chop, ect..... |

Slightly out of your price range, and 1 year older.... But maybe you can talk him down a bit? |
