Heatercraft Shower Questions

I have a heatercraft shower that has been giving me some issues. First was a leaky fitting in the control box that I fixed with some epoxy. Current issue is that it does not seem to have any cold water and does not put out much water at all. I have all valves open full, flip the switch, hear the pump make noise and then a only a little hot water come out. It comes out in fits and spurts like it is being pumped out with the loping. It does not appear to be under any pressure from the pump. Any ideas?

it may be packed with rust from your engine block water jackets. If you have he option try remounting the hot water outlet to the the top of the engine block. Try flushing the entire system. It may take some time but that is usually the issue of not having any pressure.

Engine has to be running to get good pressure.

Also, likely there are in line filter screens in the valves that need cleaning....you will need to take the assembly out to clean them. Also may be other filter screens in the system.

I just added screens in line in the engine compartment so they are easy to get at and clean out.

Engine was running, at idle. I just cleaned the screens under the control valve. I will have to tear the system down and see what I can come up with.
