1993 MasterCraft Barefoot 200
Great boat and in excellent condition. With new power (2008) Yamaha 225F, less than 60hrs, 4 blade stainless prop, new hydraulic steering, new alum. trailer and dual switched batteries. Orig upholstery + carpet + gel coat, with new engine gauges + controls. Fresh water only. Located in Houston. As you can see from the hrs she does not spend enough time in the water. Original interior is in excellent condition and vinyl is still supple with only slight trim sun fade around edges. Hull hrs are very low as evidenced by the condition of the boat.
The BF200 probably holds up much better with time than an inboard boat because there is not 1500 lbs of engine stressing the hull with each wave and holeshot. The 225 Yamaha only weighs 550lbs. Its apples to oranges comparing the cost of a complete high-tech outboard engine to a 5.7L longblock, since transmissions, v-drives, shafts, struts etc are Not Free. The 4-stroke Yamahas are used commerically and its routine for them to run for 10,000 hrs before overhaul. How many ski-boat 5.7L V8's can do that ? So a 60 hr outboard is like new. The boat is an exceptional value for someone with knowledge of the BF200 + Yamaha 4-stroke power. Reasonable offers will be considered by PM. Last edited by Sodar; 04-04-2013 at 11:05 AM.
