I should add that I have ski'd on two in the past, but the boat I used to have couldn't pull me up from a deepwater start on just 1. I shouldn't have that problem anymore For anyone that snow ski's, what should I NOT be doing on a water ski that I do on snow skis?
As an avid snow skier I have a few suggestions, some more serious than others:

Do not wear layers
Do not ride ski lifts
Understand edge change and carving
Counter rotation of the body and hips are present in both
Moguls are bad in water skiing
One ski is plenty on water
Enjoy the newer ski shapes
Thanks to boarders we have much better bindings than in years past
Get those eyes up
Expect the first run of the season soreness

And both will make you smile.

Peace.

I'm all for a slalom 2012 thread. But I've gone through some tou times the past few years on a few levels. I may not run 15 off this year. Skid twice probably each of the past two years. If this is a thread to check in after a good slalom day I'm in. If its a competition, I give

It's a just for grins friendly contest to improve ones skiing ability. It is up to each individual to choose who they want to try and out ski if it comes to that. This should be a fun thread to post up a great day skiing and having fun. I'm sure some of us will try and out ski a buddy here and there but it's not ment to see who skis the shortest line length and have everyone else trying to match a shortline persons ability. This is strictly to improve everyone's ability in a fun way.

Sounds fun, I'm in. I am also old and weak.

PB:

Roughly 20 years ago, 3 @ 28' off @ 36 mph.

2011 status:
First season skiing regularly since 1992. Started the season on my 25 year old Obrien TRC. On the TRC, making full pass @ 32 mph. Bought a used Radar Senate at the end of last season. On a grand total of attempts on the Senate, probably made 2 balls

I'll also add in my 16-year old son.

2011:
First time skiing more than once a year, first time attempting the course. Full pass @ 30 mph.

What do you think is the best way to track this? A public Google doc spreadsheet?

I don't know how tracking would work. I'm a complete idiot when it comes to computers. I don't know how to do spread sheets or anything, I just do email and team talk. I have someone do all of that other stuff for me.
