2000 X-Star Ballast

What kind of ballast set up do you have in your 2000 X-Star or 205V? I just bought one and it only has the factory ballast. I will be wake boarding and eventually learning how to surf. Thanks!

We use 300 lbs in the well into the bow and 300 lbs going port to starboard just in front of the rear seat. Add additional using the stock keel line ballast or another bag right behind the bow bag. When we have tried weighting the rear lockers it gets very washed out, although maybe that could be offset by more bow ballast. We also use another bag right behind the driver when surfing. All in all our results are "ok" but not perfect. the surf wake in particular leaves something to be desired. if others have a different formula i will also be interested to see it.

I run a 750lb sac in each rear locker, a 300lb sac in the ski locker, and a 1000lb sac in the bow. 24mph at 75ft

My current setup is almost identical to JRW160's. The wake is awesome!

750's rear lockers
300 center locker
260 walkway sac
650 bow sac

750's in the rear locker, 300 lbs in the ski locker, a sac in the bow walkway, about 200lbs of lead in the bow, 100lbs of lead under the passenger, and one of those small cube sacs to fine tune the wake as needed.

I run the 750's about 3/4 when wakeboarding. When Surfing, the surf side 750 is full, the other side empty, the bow sac and bow lead are moved to the surf side of the cabin.

Thanks for all the input. I would like to keep all the ballast hidden, so i'm thinking i will go with the 750's in the rear locker (knowing that i will only fill them to full capacity when surfing) and get the bow sack for the front. I think this year i will just fill them with the portable pump and wait till the end of the summer to do all the pluming and install switches.
