Tower retrofits, lets see them!

I have heard quite a bit of talk in regards to tower swaps. I have some interest myself.

Post up yours, or any other Mastercraft tower retrofit pics! How involved was the swap, and cost?

Has anyone swapped just the top halve of a Zero Flex for the newer model with integrated board racks?

Can anyone tell me what this tower is called, or referred to?

Are X30's any wider than X10's?

Brian -

That appears to be a 2005 X-30. The beam on that boat is 98 inches and should be the same as the X-10 of the same year. I don't think the beam of the X-30 and X-10 changed much from 1998 to 2005 (the X-10 disappeared in 2006).

My 2002 X-30 underwent a tower change from the original tower to the "new" 2005 tower with the swiveling board racks.

Here's a few pics.

not sure if it matters but i think the x10 had a beam of 95" and the x30 had a beam of 98". these were specs listed for 2001 models which as mentioned above likely hold for the 98-05 models.

prostar205: that looks great. i'd love to do that to mine.

Yeah, that tower looks awesome on the X30 and Prostars might be the nicest X30 I have ever seen!

At any rate, that tower sweeps back and on a X10 I believe the tow point would be too far back and the tower and speakers would interfere with "walk room" from the sundeck area.....

How did you do this swap? I've seen the tower build kit on ebay for sale, but it doesn't look like all the parts are there. Tower Build Kit
