Thanks for the tip on not using the strap when the kids on. I always have used the strap...but then again I didn't start at 2 ½ either! The more I think about it this...the more I like this idea!!

Good idea - no strap. My 11 yr. old daughter still doesn't use the strap, along with my younger sons. Of course that would limit thier ability to stand on the board and give dad a big thumbs up!
